One of the things about being a lifelong learner, is that no matter what happens along the path you decided to take, you always find a way to get back home.
Godot was the first fork in the road for me. I generally like to develop in 3d, but Godot has changed that for me. It is not that I do not like to develop in 3d anymore. It is just that Godot has made 2d development so easy and intuitive to work in. I finally make more than just rogue-likes and 2d platformers when it comes to 2d games development. I find myself also using Godot for just desktop app development as the tools that come with it make adding gamification easy to do.
I have spent some time with React and Vue over the last few years. I have to admit that while I love having complete creative control over how everything is done, I really do not like the learning curve that has come with that level at my older age.
Now that I have discovered Ghost, I am eager to start blogging again. For customizing it, I plan on using Tailwind css with the Handlebar framework. There is still more to read up on for this goal, but I do like what I have seen so far.
This time around, I will not be focusing on Unity. I have not used Unity in quite some time. That does not mean I hate Unity or have no plans on ever using it again. It just means that right now I am working with other things. Hell, some of the things that I have planned to work on in the next year have nothing to do with Game Development, or even coding. It is all about learning new things that I have always wanted to learn, get better at, or is simply the new shiny new thing that I have discovered.
Well that is about it for the first post. I just wanted to start getting stuff up and give everyone an idea of what is going on and why the website just appeared again along with new videos on the website.
